2024 Editor's Rating

Outdoors enthusiasts and pilots benefit greatly from staying informed about daylight hours. For pilots, knowing when to activate lights and log night flying time is crucial.

Civil Twilight for Watch is a reliable tool that automatically determines your location and calculates the position of the sun without requiring an internet connection like many other applications. This self-contained feature makes it usable globally, whether you're in your aircraft, on a boat, or enjoying a hike. The app operates directly on your Apple Watch without the need for a nearby phone, ensuring independence and convenience. Its precision extends up to a minute and is forecasted through the year 2050. For enhanced functionality, such as sunrise and sunset times worldwide and on specific dates, consider exploring our comprehensive iOS application "Civil Twilight Calculator" available on the App Store.

The app fully supports complications, with a new Setting View allowing users to select which time data to display. Users can easily customize this setting by swiping left. Depending on the available space within different complications, users can access sunrise and sunset times alongside a visual representation of the sun's arc during daylight hours. Smaller complications provide the option for a single user-selected time, like "C up arrow" for the next Civil Sun Rise.

Please note that this application is compatible only with Apple Watch Series 3 and later models.
